Pandit Amit Chakraborty born in a musical family of Kolkata , is a well-known and internationally quite an accomplished performer and educator of North Indian Classical Vocal Music . He started learning Art of Classical Vocal music at a very tender age of eight . He learnt from many stalwart musicians and connoisseurs of music . He has performed, delivered workshops and taught on many occasions almost all over the globe like India, Germany , Poland, Switzerland, UK, Italy, France and USA . He is among the few who was invited by the Honorable Ministry of Culture, Sports and Media of Hamburg (Germany) .

Amit Chakraborty has brilliantly blended his own uniqueness with the essence of the particular traditions (Patiala Gharana) . He is widely admired for his capability of explaining the nuances of Indian Classical Music and it’s application in different forms of music . He has been extensively teaching in India, Germany, USA for last 14 years both in person and online . It's a matter of great joy that soon at the end of May , 2024 , Amit Chakraborty will be vistting US . He will be available for teaching students , delivering workshops and performances till the end of October .
